A tree was planted on the 19th November 1921 on behalf of 13th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles by J Edgar Fort and Sgt William Greer.
This photograph from 1956 shows comrades A Patterson and W Littlewood at the tree in the grounds of the Ulster Tower. The original plaque can be seen beside the tree.
