Veterans from the 13th Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles pose in front of the Ulster Tower, with some members of the 1956 pilgrimage queuing on the steps to get a look inside.
Some of the old soldiers can be seen at the top of the Tower looking at the amazing view out over the Somme battlefield. For many this would have been the first time that they had returned to the area to pay their respects to their fallen comrades.
